Anybody notice that Nimbus (out of the UK) has been reissuing a lot of 2CD sets of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Duke... :excited:

The Shaw seems to be "Last Recording Series.." (3 double CD's) I believe.

I've got 2 of the Goodman and 1 of the Shaw. As most of these are future releases I'm going to TRY and grab them all as I missed then when they first came out. :party:

The Ellington appears to be a reissue of "The Travelog Edition" on Musicmasters. Nice material, especially the Chicago 1946.

I think most if not all of this material came out before on MusicMasters. Somehow I've never seen that DKE Chicago '46 concert, though--would love to hear it, esp. the live performance of the "Deep South Suite."

The Benny Goodman vol. 6 (Rainbow Grill 1966-67) is real nice. Zoot Sims and Herbie Hancock are in the ensemble.
