chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 at what point did BN stop doing seperate mono mixes again, i forget....also it looks like it has the deep groove- could that be, w/ a liberty label?? it definetly has that "groove" on teh label.... Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 the mono one: has the original cover. upper Left Corner says: high fidelity, instead of the BN logo and a prod of Liberty records in fineprint upper rt corner has the 4157 # stampped in usual big BN numbering, not like the stereo that has smallprint stereo////mono numbers listed labels: the mono label is a more darker more robust blue, the stereo label is a lighter shade of blue stereo label has that spot where a deep groove should be, i can feel something on the label and see someting, but its not as pronounced as the mono the mono vinyl seems thicker and/or heaver Quote
brownie Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I have a pre-Liberty BN Sidewinder mono copy. No deepgroove. Vangelder stamps on the deadwax. It came with the regular BN innersleeve of the time with all those stampsize images of BN releases. The sleeve celebrated "25 Years Blue Note' (1939-1964). Quote
thelbc Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 SIDEWINDER was/is a fold-down to mono... Quote
