Chuck Nessa Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 I see the NYT has a blog titled In Event of a Strike, How to Open the Doors. Quote
Christiern Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 I took a one-hour course this morning. Tonight we received a DVD: "How to hail a cab." Quote
Jazzmoose Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Should we send emergency packages? I dunno...elevator operation instructions, trash bags... Quote
catesta Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Too bad the strike didn't happen. Imagine NYC would have had its own mini-stimulus package with all the extra cash people could have spent on other things while not having to tip doormen, porters and concierges. Quote

Point well taken, Chris, but in my building, the doormen, porters, etc. tip us. In turn, we speak very highly of them at every opportunity, and some of us remember them in our wills. Of course, at Christmas time, we do suggest that they not tip us quite as well. To think that I have wasted hours studying the How to Hail a Cab manual. C'est la vie. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Is Chris tipping a sport with kids in the neighborhood too? Quote

Now it's time to move on to your next project -- cataloging that jumble of old 60's/70's/80s remotes in a box you once mentioned. Quote
