paul secor Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Don't have the Ace reissue, but in the notes for an earlier reissue of the same material on the Modern Blues label, reissue producer Daniel Jacoubovitch notes that "the horn figure on 'Let's Have a Natural Ball' was adopted from Horace Silver's 'Cookin' at the Continental', one of the jazz tunes the band played to open sets before Albert came onstage."
