Freddie Redd and his International Jazz Connection

This hard to find CD by Freddie Redd is now available for downloading at CDbaby, and will show up soon on iTunes, Amazon etc.

Freddie put this out himself 10+ years ago, and only 1,000 or so copies were pressed, so it's hard to get a hold of.

This group of musicians based in Sweden runs through 8 of Freddie's originals. It was a homecoming of sorts since Freddie had a successful stay in Sweden in the late 50s. I highly recommend this.

I was fortunate to get a copy of this Freddie Redd CD back when it first came out.

Freddie has so few recordings out under his name it makes this one that much more important.

I haven't listened to it in a few years so will pull it off the shelf and play it in the next day or so.
