bertrand Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I stumbled across two organ CDs on iTunes that looked intriguing: 1) Flavio Boltro/Pietro Tonolo/Emmanuel Bex/Joe Chambers: The Translators 2) Vito Di Modugno: Organ Trio Plays Modern Jazz Standards The first has Joe Chambers, who rarely recorded with organ (plus a Herbie Nichols tune), and the second has a great track listing (I'm not familiar with the guy, but the sound clips were nice). My preference is to buy physical CDs, but I could live with iTunes. Can either of these be bought as CDs? I hunted online but no luck. My mother checked in Paris (Bex is French) but no luck either. Thanks, Bertrand. Quote
relyles Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 I see that the Boltro disc is available on demand from jazzos.com. There is also an Di Modugno Organ Trio recording with a different title, but with a track list that includes compositions by Mingus, Joe Henderson, Chick Corea, Jimi Hendrix, Blue Mitchell and Horace Silver. I have ordered from jazzos.com in the past and found them to be reliable. Quote
bertrand Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 So 'on demand' is a CD-R? In that case, I'd prefer buying it on iTunes and making my own CD. Thanks, Bertrand. Quote
