Kind of like the parking lot visible on the "other planet" at the beginning of Spacehunter: Adventures In The Forbidden Zone? laugh.gif

(don't ask me why that popped into my head first thing)

No video that I could find, but during the whole jazz/Letterman nonsense here I learned that Paul Shaffer was the first person to say the F word live on SNL. The skit parodied the Troggs tapes and the cast was supposed to say "flogging" instead, but Shaffer slipped.

A movie that is full of time inconsistencies is Quadrophenia. It's my favorite Who album and I knew the band's history so I was detail minded when I saw the movie. It's a bit of mess trying to figure out the year it takes place. Within the movie there are TV appearances by the band that Jimmy watches that suggest 1964, later A Quick One is in a record collection so it has to be later (Dec. '66). Then there's the matter of 1970s cars driving around. I knew my British cars from having visited a car nut cousin in the British Isles a few times, so they couldn't get that past me! At least Bellboy Sting didn't start singing Police songs. ;)

I swear I've seen a jet trail in a western along with a big power lines on cattle drives (though I suppose the latter could be a stand in for telegraph if they're simple wooden poles) as I used to look for them, but it was so long ago I can't recall specifics.

Oh yes, more for geeks than a big alarms-going-off problem, but in Field Of Dreams Shoeless Joe bats right rather than left like he did in real life. Personally I was horrified. ;)

I think my favorite happens in The Untouchables, when Sean Connery's top button miraculously buttons and unbuttons itself in three separate shots of the same conversation. :D
