Richie Hayward, RIP

I was saddened by the news. I've been a Feat fan since the 1970s- my favorite band. Seen them about 23 times or so. Met Richie in May 2009 when they played Innsbrook After Hours (Glen Allen, VA)- he didn't look good then IMO. He and everyone else were very friendly. Was following Richie's progress on Carepages.com with updates and photos by his wife.

Saw Richie play with Warren Zevon at the Tower Theatre in Philly on one of Zevon's tours in the early 80s.. Also saw "Chicken Legs" play nat my college- they were an off-shoot of the Feat after Lowell died.

I enjoyed his drumming.
