Alexander
I recently signed on to both, and have already downloaded a couple of albums that I was curious about, but didn't feel like getting in the stores. I got "Panthalassa" and "Panthalassa: The Remixes" as well as "Bird Up: The Charlie Parker Remix Project." Last week, I got the No Doubt "Singles Collection." I have to say that I've been pleased so far. The sound quality of the copies I got is very good (better than the few times I experimented with illegal file sharing). I'm pretty good at making myself covers and stuff, so I don't miss that aspect of buying in "real life." On the whole, my experiences with both have been positve so far. Anyone have different experiences? I'm thinking this is a very positve direction for the music to take. Anyone disagree? medjuck
No disagreeement here. I 've started to use the i-tunes store quite a bit. I'm hoping that they'll start offering things that are not available on cd.
Alec
I haven't tried the new Napster, but I too like iTunes. I doubt that, for me, it will supplant buying regular CDs, but for a quick fix, some singles, or some of the exclusive content, it can't be beat. Also, we just got cable modem connection so I can really download now!
Saint Vitus
Another iTunes user here ... The software (for Windows) is very good for managing the mp3 files I have (hundreds of them), and I occasionally buy to get hit singles from the artists I'm not sure I want the whole album (for instance, "Where Is the Love" from Black Eyed Peas).
