November 14-23: Concerts and Reminiscenses

When we talk about the European period of the legendary tenor Dexter Gordon in the 60’s and 70’s, we immediately think about the jazz club Jazzhus Montmartre. That was his home there.

For this very special Dexter Gordon tribute festival, with the close collaboration of Maxine Gordon, famous Danish and American musicians will be part of this event. Some played with Dex already 45 years ago, as the very great drummer “Tootie” Heath for example, or George Cables who was Dexter’s choice of pianist when he returned to the US in 1976.
