His "Soul Food" (2001) is incredible and includes as sidemen McBride, Stefan Harris & James Carter. But now it got me thinking. . . . is Cyrus the reincarnation of Art Tatum? I'm sure somebody out there knows the truth! Quote

BruceH Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 TATUM???? That's going a bit far, but I love Chestnut. Soul Food is one of his best, but I would also recommend his first Atlantic album, Revelation. And his 1995 album, Earth Stories, is worth a few dozen listens. Also, he kicks ass live. Quote
