connoisseur series500 Posted January 3, 2004 Author Report Posted January 3, 2004 I don't see Denver beating them twice in such a short span of time. Indy will outscore them. Quote
JSngry Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Indy. Manning comes to play, and does. Quote
Tjazz Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 I hope Denver, but I think IND will get lucky again. Quote
Jim Dye Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Going with Denver on this one. PP attack! Portis and Plummer. Manning fails again to win a playoff game. Shared MVP my butt! Quote
doubleM Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Indy. Manning will now go on to prove that his greatness isn't limited to the regular season. Quote
Free For All Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 PP attack! Actually, that usually happens during the third quarter and many beers. Thank you, Jim, for that pitch over the plate. B) C'mon Moose, you're getting slow! Quote
sheldonm Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I'm also going with Indy and I would hardly say their wins this year have been lucky Quote
Soulstation1 Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 pey-dawg kicked some butt today. "the edge" is probably my fav rb, i dig the locks and gold teeth. ss1 Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted January 5, 2004 Author Report Posted January 5, 2004 Didn't even bother to watch the game after Indy scored their touchdown in the third quarter. Denver wimped out on this one. Stupid media going on about Manning's inability to win in the postseason... Is there any other collective entity more stupid than the sport's media? Quote
Jim Dye Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Is there any other collective entity more stupid than the sport's media? Nope. I was pulling for Denver only because the road for the Titans would have been easier going through KC instead of Foxboro. Outstanding performance by Manning. I love McNair, but Peyton should have won the MVP outright. Especially since he beat the Titans twice in the regular season and Steve missed a couple games. There was some east coast sports talk idiot on the radio complaining that McNair got all the press and was entirely undeserving of MVP honors because he's so soft and hurt all the time. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I guess having the best record in the league over the last 5 years means nothing without that ring. What a crazy fun weekend of football! Quote
Big Al Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Dang! Are the Colts that good, or are the Broncos that bad? That was an embarrassment! Quote
sheldonm Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Big Al, Having seen the Colts many times live and having worked as a photographer for them from time to time, they are a pretty impressive team. I think the beating they took from Denver a few weeks ago was very unchartaristic of their play this year and was a shock to most of us who follow the team. Their offense is very good and their defense is coming around. That said, I'm not sure Denver is as bad as they looked yesterday, it appears the Colts came to play while Denver didn't; you never know!!! The mental lapses such as not touching a downed player has got to kill the coaching staff!!! Mark Quote
