A little background as to how this may have come about.

I went to Dorsey High School in Los Angeles as did Mike Love. Charles Lloyd was a student-teacher (that's what they called it at the time) in the music department at the time while he was studying at USC. I'm sure that's when he met Love.

At the same time Forest Hamilton, Chico's son, was also attending Dorsey. The song Forest Flower by Lloyd was said to have been written for Chico's son while Lloyd was in Chico's band.

At any rate, that video clip is some funny sh!t !

i knew of the connection but Cali really hit home with the origins of the collection, thats interesting it was THAT far back. I wish i knew more about that. Mike Love & Charles Lloyd knowing eachother from THAT far back.....mike going on to the beach boys and charles lloyd going on to, well, charles lloyd. i mean, wow. what if they addded him on sax in 1964 a la Fabulous Wailers style + the Beach Boys harmonies..........could of been....could of been!!! I THOUGHT WHAT JSNGRY SAID was it, you know, Love and Llloyd, both real big into TM. Jsngry, this nxt clip's, for you:
