Somehow yesterday my Firefox browser picked up the Bing toolbar which I definitely don't want. I tried to eliminate it, and so far nothing has worked, clicking on the toolbar dropdown.

I clicked on the Menu Toolbar, and now it has disappeared. I can't imagine living without that. How do I get it back?

Hover just below the minimize button (up in the top right of the screen near the red X for "close") and click the right mouse button. You should get a menu with "Menu Bar" in it. Click that and the menu bar will show back up.

To get rid of that Bing toolbar, check that it isn't an add-on (under Tools>Add-ons).

Try this. At the top click View then Toolbars.

Unfortunately, his menu bar, the place where it says "View", is hidden. :)

Thanks jostber, but that didn't do the trick.

Apparently your link provides instructions for making Google the default search engine, but is not relevant to the Bing toolbar I would like to remove.

OK, I got it! The Bing toolbar was listed as "Search toolbar" in my View dropdown. After I screwed things up by making the menu toolbar disappear, I was a little reluctant to plunge forward and try the Search Toolbar, but after all this I did, and it worked.

Thanks again, everybody!
