bichos Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 the other man is don manning, a jazz musician/fan from portland, oregon. he recorded this two telephone conversations with brownie during the roach-brown quintet´s engagement at the basin street club, new york city (beginning of may 1956). btw: the name don manning rings a bell to bird afficionados: he plays drums on some of the gene roland orchestra tracks ("the band that never was")from nola studios, april 3, 1950. keep boppin´ marcel Quote
