GA Russell Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 That was interesting TTK! Sort of a 1968 Bananarama. Quote
JSngry Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 Produced by George Duke fwiw... Their version of the hoary standard "Chloe" is a real trip in terms of glottal timbral variations. The internet is your friend... Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted October 2, 2011 Author Report Posted October 2, 2011 OMG! Here is recording they made just for fun in 2000! http://www.frequency.com/video/the-third-wave-/3881787 I always wondered what happened to them! Quote
JSngry Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 I always wondered what happened to them! The usual - family, etc. Two(?) of them remained active in the Bay Area and can be found doing background vocals on some major label album by some Bay Area act, late-60s, early 70s...sorry I don't know the detail any longer, it's been a few years since I found out about them and did the usual obsessive-compulsive research. There used to be some web-review where one of their nieces posted an update as to the whole "where are they now" thing. If you Google the album, it might still be there. It was funny, she didn't really know about the group or her aunt's history until the CD reissue. What piques my interest is that they made an appearance on The Hollywood Palace. Surely footage survives somewhere... Quote
