Chuck Nessa Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Might check with the police in Aurora, CO. I hear they confiscated a bunch of cartridges. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Okay, seems that many came with this cartridge: http://www.lpgear.com/product/ATC110E.html Quote

Kevin Bresnahan Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 It'll take any cartridge that weighs between 3 to 9 grams and it has a aluminum platter so you can use moving magnet or moving coil. It all depends on your budget. What are you looking to spend? Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 Under $100. It's my brother-in-laws table. The one Lon suggested looks pretty good .....though if there are any other brands under $70, I'm sure he'd be interested. Quote
jeffcrom Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Right at the edge of your price range, but I really like the Ortofon Red. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Right at the edge of your price range, but I really like the Ortofon Red. I've heard nothing but good things about the Ortofon 3M Red. I have the Ortofon 3M Black and it's been great. Grado's sub-$100 cartridges are pretty good too but there are some complaints that they can hum on certain turntables. Edited September 4, 2012 by Kevin Bresnahan Quote
Stefan Wood Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 I'll second the Audio Technica, but this Shure M97xe is a very good all arounder as well. Quote
