Big Beat Steve Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 According to Bruyninckx, this doesn't look like there is any connection with Savoy: Sonny Stitt (as, ts), Richie Cole (ts), John Handy (ts, as), Bobby Hutcherson (vib), Cedar Walton (p), Herbie Lewis (b), Billy Higgins (d) Recorded live at Keystone Corner, San Francisco, ca. September 1981, released earlier on the 32 Jazz label. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 No connection to the historical Savoy Records, but reissued under the Savoy Jazz label after 32 Jazz folded. Quote
