Available Jelly is one of my favorite groups, and some of my favorite musicians. Their "Happy Camp" album is for my money one of the best pieces of music ever. I'm pretty sure I would never have guessed this one no matter how many times I would have listened to it. Is it from a private tape?

And I will say that if I'm going to misidentify anybody as Dexter, I'm glad it's Yusef, and not some new breed imitator-specialist.

#10 is a total surprise! And I guess I'm the only one who likes Sonny Fortune on flute. I found his playing really interesting actually, not difficult at all.

I can't believe that this is Sonny Fortune--his flute sound has been different on other recordings. I am thinking of Miles Davis' "Maiysha" and how he sounded there. Maybe he was having a bad day when this was recorded.

I should have been able to identify this. I was, and am, a fan of the Heath Brothers' albums and enjoyed them live in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I remember Tony Purrone performing live with them, but could not identify him when I heard this.
