alocispepraluger102 Posted May 3, 2013 Author Report Posted May 3, 2013 this stuff was thick. the only way to get it out was to shave the noggin. it was great for slicking the hair back. tavern in the town reminds me of the worst bass solo ever recorded. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 Weren't Wild Root the ones that sponsored Woody Herman for a time? (Hence the title he recorded) As for "Tavern In The Town", suggest you listen either to the Bar-X Cowboys' recording of 1937 or to the one by Leonard Feather's "Ye Olde English Swinge Band" (same year). That should brighten things up. Re- hair grease, in my teen/twen/student days I used to take our local brands (sold in tubes) on specific occasions: "Brisk"; "Fit" or "Flott". Quote
JSngry Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 In a perfect world, there would be a YouTube clip of the Score commercial with Bake Turner singing "That's The Score" to the tune of "Hold Me Tight" while at least one mermaid looked on. Quote
