colinmce Posted May 24, 2013 Report Posted May 24, 2013 Honestly didnt know he was from Chicago I've enjoyed his work as a leader all-around, as well as his contributions to Snakeoil and Ceramic Dog. As a leader/composer he's straight out of the Tony Williams lineage, creating an intriguing group sound instead of foregrounding percussion, or working in a standard horns + rhythm setting. Very interesting player. Quote
