Chappelle's show, I've been a fan of since day one. Dave Chappelle is one of the funniest people walking the face of the earth right now. But yeah, strong kudos for Penn & Teller's show as well as Chappelle's, which is nothing short of brilliant, at least at this point in the game. Chappelle has always had a rep as a "comedian's comedian". Based on the portions of his previous standup work I've seen, I wondered why all the fuss. But the CC show shows the raves of his peers to be more than well founded, as well as driving home the point that standup is but one kind of humor, and not necessarily the best fit for all performers. The guy is truly smart and truly funny, and he doesn't downplay one to accent the other. My kinda guy. Quote
