Uncle Skid Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 Something is clearly wrong here. I have not yet received my free Mosaic. You did remember to over-night it right? No Ed, he's just waiting for you to come and fix his dryer first!! Quote
Ed S Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 That dryer was nuthin' You would not believe what went wrong yesterday. My wife pages me at work and describes the scene something like this - " A pipe above the hot water tank busted . There's water everywhere. I don't know how to stop it." Of course I talked her through how to turn off the main water supply. When I headed home, I discovered that the plastic tube that taps into one of my water lines and feeds the humidifier had cracked. I guess it was old age. I got a new water line and it took about 5 minutes to repair. The way she described it, I thought I'd be at it all night. A significant portion of my recently remodeled basement was flooded as a result. Spent most of the evening with a rented wet vac. Boy did that suck. Anyways, I figure a plumber would have charged - what - about $50-75 just to walk in the door. and another $20 buck for the part that cost me about $5 and another hour labor (that's the minimum don't you know) at another $75 and hour and I saved myself in the neighborhood of $150. Maybe I'll grab the Bunny Berigan set this time around. Quote
Ed S Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Oh, and by the way, I don't make housecalls Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 You know, Ed, if your wife finds out that you've been using sabotage to obtain Mosaics... Quote
Ed S Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 You know, Ed, if your wife finds out that you've been using sabotage to obtain Mosaics... She doesn't suspect a thing. I'm thinking some sort of car repair for next week. Something simple like an alternator belt......... Quote
