Excellent interview. I was fortunate to see him perform a number of times in South Florida. No regular gig at that time since South Florida jazz clubs would regularly open and close. I recall his playing various ballads associated with Trane and, as mentioned in the interview, Amazing Grace on soprano sax as being particularly stunning.

I got to see him perform at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center maybe 15 years ago. He had complete command over all of his horns, and his band was smoking.
