Hardbopjazz
I pretty sure it's Monk on piano.
ctuck1
My son quizzed me about this photo. The ones I knew from sight were Monk and Roy Haynes. It took me awhile (plus a lotta Google) but I eventually figured out the bass player was Ahmed Abdul-Malik.

JSngry
Is that the Five Spot? Figuring it was Monk's band? Wow, yeah, nice band indeed!
paul secor
Robin D. G. Kelley's Thelonious Monk: The Life and Times of an American Original states that "They" (Rollins playing with Monk's group) "spent twelve beautiful nights together at the Five Spot and performed one benefit concert at Carnegie Hall". Sonny Rollins filled in after Johnny Griffin left and before Charlie Rouse joined Monk.
