Here's something that I find interesting, although what if anything it proves, I'm not sure.

Mediametric is a website which keeps track of the websites which have the most reader comments.

Today Alex Jones is bragging that his site gets more comments than ESPN's. Here is the relevant portion of the list:

13. TMZ

14. Infowars (Alex Jones)

15. CBS News

16. ESPN

17. The Hill

The Hill is a quite high-brow political site. TMZ is a low-brow celebrity site.

Any thoughts?

Would not a shorter list be one of websites that do not have comments?

Is # of comments something that's drives ad rates on sites these days, as opposed to (or in addition to) hits?

I think after one look I'll avoid InfoWars like the plague...

Sorry you were exposed to that unexpectedly. On the other hand, it's been years since I saw it, and rest assured, you'll never do it again.
