porcy62 Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Does anybody know wich are the last catalogue number of ECM issued in both Lp and Cd? I guess it's around 1440 but I am not sure. Quote
Green Dolphin Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Could be wrong but I think it was Charles Lloyd's "Notes From Big Sur"-ECM 1465.Some releases were CD only before this release however such as Terje Rypdal's "Undisonus" and some of the New Series stuff. There was a rumour that Garbarek's "Twelve Moons" ECM 1500 was to come out on vinyl as a limited edition as it was the 500th release but I'm not sure if it ever did. bertrand Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Dewey Redman's The Struggle Continues should be on this list as well. Bertrand. Quote

dorshe Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 A friend of mine sent this link to me as he knows that I've been an avid ECM collector for quite a few years. I endeavored to collect on vinyl the label's entire output until ECM went to CD-only. I've been adding some ECMs to my collection recently and I've just entered in my database Krakatu -- Volition ECM 1466. This is the highest # I've seen on vinyl. As for the never-released-on-cd-ECMs: I'm not sure about the following -- someone please correct me if I'm wrong: 1141 George Adams - Sound Suggestions 1164 Abercrombie Quartet 1191 Abercrombie Quartet M 1187 Rainer Bruninghaus Freigeweht 1901 Larry Karush/ Glen Moore May 24, 1976 1357 Hans Koch/ Martin Schutz/Marco Kappeli Acceleration 1081 Art Lande Rubisa Patrol 1106 Art Lande Rubisa Patrol Desert Marauders 1214 James Newton Axum 1071 Tomasz Stanko Balladyna 1160 Steve Swallow Home 1113 Tom van der Geld and Children at Play Patience 1224 Enrico Rava Opening Night 19003 Percussion Profiles 19004 Manfred Schoof Quintet - Scales ECM/SP 2305 801 Peter Ruhmkorf - Kein Apolloprogramm fur lyrik Quote
randyhersom Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I own Rubisa Patrol on CD. Quote
randyhersom Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 ... and I just picked up Balladyna on CD on another label. Quote
Claude Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 (edited) Thanks for the list, dorshe, but many of the titles on it are available on CD. Check the www.ecm-records.com website. I also limited myself to the numbered ECM albums (1001-18xx) and omited the ECM-related labels such as Watt or Japo. Your 3 last tiles are from Japo. I think that my list is now almost complete. Maybe one or two albums are missing. Edited February 27, 2004 by Claude Quote
