soulpope Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) Sterling Mendelssohn perfomances from the german Bartholdy Quartett (Joshua Epstein 1. Violine + Max Speermann 2. Violine + Jörg-Wolfgang Jahn Viola + Annemarie Dengler Violoncello) from 1973/74 which (IMO) remained state of art until today .... beautufully recorded too and the 4CD reissue via Acanta/Membran costs a pittance ....
