How to remove space between lines?

While editing my stuff for sale, I can't remove spaces between the lines of text. How is that done? Thanks!

It's been like this since the last major upgrade.
To reduce the spaces, one possibility is to write your list
on WordPad then copy/paste.
It works, sometimes.

then instead of just pressing "enter"
to get to the next line,

Which amounts to doing a "soft return" instead of a "hard return". That's how I proceed too
