If it's got a bath in it, it's a bathroom. If it's only got a shower, it's a shower room. If it's only got a toilet, it's a toilet.

What could be simpler? It's so logical, it's almost French :)

(Except in France, they call a toilet a WC - in French - double  vé cé).

They use the term WC (water closet) in Britain also.  After all, it’s an English term ;)

Yes, invented in the sixteenth century, I understand.

Amazing that people should have given their minds to that in the days of Elizabeth I, Armada, Drake, Shakespeare & etc.

so we say rest room

I've wondered about that in the past as it's not really somewhere you'd necessarily choose to take a rest. That'd be a bedroom, surely...

Depends - some people read a book there. I used to when I was a kid and wanted a bit of peace & quiet.

They don’t call it the reading room for nothing :g

One thing I ALWAYS liked about visiting America was how nice and clean the public toilets are. It's America's greatest contribution to world civilisation. So long as you don't let too many Britons in the country. Ours are shitholes and pissholes for the most part. There are exactly two in Cardiff that aren't.

you mean there is still two public toilets in Cardiff? Positively luxurious. All disappeared in London

Remember this is Wales. Progressive policies mean higher khazi count.

Come crap in Cardiff!
