It is good - very atmospheric recording in very acceptable sound. I have been playing the 2LP version over the past week.

The CD, along with the Wes Montgomery, arrived today.

Listening right now to the opening track, “Our Love Is Here To Stay.” Boy, people talk about Bud Powell’s influence on Evans’ mid-50s playing, but I can sure still hear it here in 1969–reminiscent to me at times of peak-Verve Bud. Great evening to be listening to it here in Bloomington.

I mentioned it in the vinyl thread that one of the memorable things about this recording is that it accurately captures the atmosphere of an Evans trio from a front seat at the pre-refurb Scotts. Incredible considering it was done with a single stealth microphone and recorder under the table cloth.

The source tape has its share of flaws from aging, but it is a decent recording without a lot of crowd noise.
