Fritz Novotny RIP - reports

I'm always loathed to start these threads but a number of online sources are reporting his passing.

His Discogs entry is updated to show a date last month for his death but tis tribute suggests yesterday

 I just wish his music with the Freedom Art Unit was easier to come by

Oh that´s really sad news. Though the early 80´s I got to know him personally we had many occasions to talk about music and listen to tapes etc. He played a very impressive set on Hollabrunn Jazz Festival 1985 with some of his old buddies like Paul Fields.

During the time I knew him, he recorded "Pannonian Flower" a really strong composition.

RIP. Those RAU/Three Motions/etc. records he's on are really interesting.
