Zusaan Kali Fasteau (1947-2020)

Sad news to report: multi-instrumentalist Zusaan Kali Fasteau (Sea Ensemble, Archie Shepp, many of her own configurations) died on Nov. 20, 2020 at age 73.

Knew her a bit through the scene and saw her perform many times. Her CDs on the Flying Note label are varied and often superb. Completely individual personality and a creative wizard, she will be missed.

yeah, gutted here as well. Though we were not always on the same page politically I found her to be a warm and generous person.
