Moses Asch released the very first JATP record, and then made a record of John Cage music on his Disc label. So, like straight line from Jacquet to Asch to Cage. I think it's delightfully hilarious! Masselos had another go at the Ives sonata in 1966 - both included here Quote

Ok my...one copy of THIS one for $550.00 I see lots of different types of music on Disc, but only these two are "classical". And both involve Cage + Ajemian. Ajemian did the OG Sonatas and Interludes on Dial, which is still my favorite. so...I want to hear these Disc records...somehow. Surely they're alive somewhere. Quote
