Looks to be out March 20th in Japan, April 16th or so everywhere else. The Japan release appears to be vinyl and CD everywhere else. This is on the Redhook label from from ECM prodcuer Sun Chung. Standards reinterpreted by Poo. Oddly enough I don't hear any voicing in the video.

Got my copy today, has the trademark ECM slipcase, interesting that it was apart of the packaging. May be a couple days until I get to spin it but looking forward to it.

I just realized that Red Hook Records released a second volume of this last fall. Anyone heard it?

The set alternates standards and improvisations.

It's similar to the first volume, about as good, too. I am really happy with it, a bit like getting a second serving of a favorite meal.

Thanks—I will probably purchase it. I've been collecting nearly all of Red Hook's releases so far. I don't usually let myself collect entire labels anymore but they only release about two albums per year, so I can keep up with that, and I love their choices of artists to record. That Wadada Leo Smith and Amina Claudine Myers album was just beautiful, and I was lucky enough to see them perform that piece, Central Parks's Mosaics, live last year.
