Tom in RI
I see Richard Vacca has some mentions here for having a book about the Boston jazz scene. I stumbled onto to his site and twenty minutes later was listening to a 1965 recording of Jimmy Mosher taped from a broadcast by WGBH. Originally got there through a searching Serge Chaloff, Vacca has a nice blog entry about Chaloff’s two Capitol dates. Anyway, interesting site. Dan Gould
I could swear there was a separate post about this piece on the blog https://richardvacca.com/joe-gordon-story-part-1/ but I could not find it via a google search for the O. So ... y'all should check this out very informative. I went looking because I just received Shelly Manne & His Men - West Coast Jazz in England and highly recommend it, despite it being on the infamous Solar label.
