jlhoots Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 I love the name gabby fluke-mogul. BTW, huge group. Quote
T.D. Posted January 9, 2024 Author Report Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) I really want to go to this, weather permitting. Big storm expected Fri/Sat...if I don't get flooded or have extended power loss, expect to go. I've never heard anything by gabby, but she's recently been praised on the avant-garde new releases thread. Big group (maybe incl. people who rarely play together), improv,...will be interesting to hear the rehearsal and show back to back. Edited January 9, 2024 by T.D. Quote
cliffpeterson Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) I plan to be there. Afterwards, I may stop by the Avalon Lounge in Catskill (Exit 21 or two exits north of Kingston). From 6-7 PM, Bobby Previte plans to play there with Keith Pray, John Esposito and Otto Gardiner. Great Korean food albeit short menu. Edited January 9, 2024 by cliffpeterson Quote

Oh yikes, more weather to deal with... gabby (they/them) is awesome. gabby played duo with Ava Mendoza as part of the Queer Trash performances at Tubby's in December 2022. Quote
T.D. Posted January 14, 2024 Author Report Posted January 14, 2024 Sick this weekend, have to miss it. Ate dodgy (in hindsight) take-out at work Friday afternoon, was totally out of commission for 36 hours, not yet 100%. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted January 15, 2024 Report Posted January 15, 2024 Sorry to hear that; it was very good, and hopefully won't be too long before the next installment. Quote
