I have the Rite of Spring roll (which is intense). Was that done with a different technology? I think it was? If so, are there more of those?

There were different technologies, from simple piano rolls to sophisticated Welte-Mignon machines to the highly developped models Nancarrow used. Do some research on Wikipedia. Issues of these recordings sometimes do not differentiate.

Ah, I was wondering if anybody has manually played the piano roll pieces, or if it was even possible for one player.

Found out that Strawinsky indeed conceived music for the pianola that was unplayable for humans.
