R.I.P. Shoji Aketagawa

Apologies for the belated notice. 

I just read about it tonight on discogs. Passed on November 16, 2024.

I learned about Aketagawa on this forum and have accumulated more than a few recordings. I enjoy his music, and he seemed like a real character one would enjoy meeting.

Ah, that is too bad -- indeed, his music on the Aketa's Disk label, and that of his compatriots whom he released, is very interesting. Glad to see that a bunch of it has been reissued legitimately.

Looking at my spreadsheet, he shares a birthday with Tristan Honsinger, which seems appropriate.
