RIP, Ron Eschete

Great guitarist who was centered in LA for many years, and then got a teaching gig in Portland about six years ago.

He shattered his shoulder in a fall, and an MRI revealed Colon Cancer.  I just heard about it and still can't believe it,

A fine addition to the Gene Harris Quartet as long as that group existed.

I saw Ron Eschete live a few times. With Gene Harris, and once with his own trio. He was a fine jazz guitarist.
