I've recently got Vol. 1 of the Complete Motown Singles and will be getting Vol. 2 also. Thanks to Hans about the David Ruffin Hip-0 Select CD going OOP on the Steve Hoffman site as I ordered that one before it became no longer available.

A fine set of reissues! The Elmo Hope CD is most welcome but I thought it would be a RVG reissue as it was a released as a single CD and wouldn't qualify as a Connoisseur.

Great news! I also was wondering about the Columbia Swing Sessions as it was mentioned as a possible set and it looks like a real winner.

Mosaic Select sets are available for pre-order at Amazon. They list the release date for 6 sets as July 6 and sell for $67.98!

The Don Pullen-George Adams Quartet was my number 1 on the wish list for a Mosaic Select.

I picked up the Goodbye Babylon set before Christmas. Highly recommended! The elaborate packaging is nice but unnecessary and the music is incredible with excellent sound considering the age of the recordings.

This is a recommended blues series that has very good remastered sound. I've picked up the first 4 various artist compilations and the Sonny Boy Williamson and was very tempted to pick up the Blind Willie McTell CD. Like the Jazz Bluebird series many artists that were originally released on CD in the past have been released again with added material in a few cases. Hopefully there will be more to follow.

Constellation was record of the year in the 1973 Downbeat Critic's poll. This is the third CD reissue for Sonny Criss Crisscraft. I believe the lastest reissue of Crisscraft has only 5 tracks where as the Muse CD had a bonus alternate track and a latter day track. Those bonus tracks helped as it was a very short playing time record.

There was some discussion on the old BNBB about deepdiscount.com. It seems they dropped the Mosaic items from their database soon there after there was some inquiries. I was ready to order the Sonny Stitt set but the set disappeared from their site. Although I have never used their site, I was told by somebody who said he was lucky enough to pick up the Sara Vaughan Mosaic set at a great price a couple months later.
