I happen to know a little about possible causes from an ex-girlfriend who had a similar problem. I don't want to freak you out, but if you think your insurance probably wouldn't give you a hassle over a trip to the ER, it isn't a bad idea. If you aren't comfortable with your insurer, then leave a message for your doctor and follow up with another call first thing in the morning. You might be able to call your insurer right now to get pre-approval. This can be serious, or it could be merely annoying - but you need to see a doctor to figure out which.

I don't disagree with much of what is being said, but much of it seems irrelevant to the case in hand. Tranemonk paid $45 or so for an entertainment product. I can understand him being a little peeved about it including a white dude singing some arguably racist stuff about the ethnic group he (tranemonk) belongs to. I really doubt tranemonk needs to learn about our country's racist history from a Johnny Mercer song.

Wine competitions are typically blind tests, but I'm not sure about this one in particular. I've had TBC. It's not bad, and I wouldn't turn my nose up at it, but I wouldn't give it a medal, either. OTOH, I'm not much of a Chardonay fan in general - especially the absurdly over-oaky ones from California.

I picked up the ESP CD versions of Spiritual Unity and Bells/Prophecy (as well as Live on the Rivera, which I didn't have before) - I have to say the sound quality on the studio albums really exceeded my expectations - far better than the old vinyl reissues I have. I'll be picking up the rest this week. Thanks for the advice.

Agreed, but on the weekends I always feel like they are rushing me, even if I have a reservation and am buying drinks, etc. The service was friendlier at Lure, but it isn't in the same league food-wise.

Not bad, but not recommended. Jack's Luxury has a way better raw bar, and Aquagrill is way better for cooked fish... and they are both cheaper.

I ate at the Patsy's up in Spanish Harlem today. Pretty good... probably about as good as you can do in Manhattan without having to wait in line. Just $11 for a large pie!

I once saw a book that was nothing but full-page photographs of gorillas' faces. This is hard to understand without seeing the book, but it was one of the most beautiful and profoundly moving things I have ever seen. Does anyone happen to know the book and its title? I've done a little googling and have not been able to find it. Thanks. Edit: The most popular book that is somewhat (but not really) similar seems to be Almost Us. This is not the book I am thinking of. Thanks again.

It chewed through the wood window frame upstairs (and most of the way through mine). But the nonprofit upstairs is still stuck with a hole chewed straight through the window (the landlord never fixes anything regardless of severity or urgency). Now that makes more sense....I've seen some crazy squirrels including one that ate himself to death and died next to a consumed 40 lb. bag of sunflower seeds in my garage dead with all fours in the air!....but not one that could eat through glass! m~ At 1:17AM I tend to fogive myself for saying "the window" when I mean more specifically "the window frame".
