among life's imponderables are the random thoughts, scenes, and pieces of music that inexplicably come to mind while dealing with the 'real' world.

Moving across the country is an expensive pain in the ass.

Is that a random thought or a personal observation?

A random personal observation. I'm in Austin for about 7 weeks more.

I'm moving to Bay Village, Ohio, about .75 miles from my parents' house. It's time to be there to help them and spend time wtih them. 32 years in Austin are ending soon.

Yea, I'm riding my motorcycle around in 70 degree weather going "I'm going to do . . what?"

Random thoughts...?

I teach teenagers. I have enough randomness to fill a library.

Oy.

Fire in, fire out.

PS on another chat board this is the longest running topic with tens of thousands of responses.

I'll be happy to offer, free of charge, unlimited storage space for your music collection. I'll even help move it, too! :)

Thanks. I think I can house my music collection. My collection of instruments. . . maybe, hopefully.

Cool! I was born in Canton, my parents were born and raised in Louisville. My father was the minister of the "church on the town square" in Burton, Ohio for 28 years.

Actually I misspoke, I'm going to be just across the border from Bay Village, in Westlake, Ohio.

The offer of free moving and storage applies to those, too! :)

I'm sure it does. :) Thing is I think if I need to move and store them it will be in Ohio.

Good luck with your move, Lon!

I've had four long distance moves in the last ten years. My heart goes out to you. I respect that you are doing this for your parents.

Thanks my friend. Wow. Four times.

The part I'm most sad about is leaving friends. . .and beginning a long-distance romance. Sigh.

But I think there will be an adventure ahead.

I look forward to the thread! I hope you'll be able to get back to Austin someday. The way I'm going, I may just end up where I started. lol

If my life really changed in a direction that I would love it too. . . I wouldn't need to hang on the internet and the thread wouldn't be updated. :)

I'm actually not ending up where I started, I never lived in Ohio after week three of my life til I was seventeen. . . and then it was about fifty minutes from where I'm now headed, in Burton, Ohio, Geauga County.
