Did ABC TV/Radio own Impulse at one time?

I have this Elvin Jones album and it has the ABC logo on the album cover and vinyl. Did ABC acquire Impulse at some point in time?

I think the story of ABC-Impulse is covered here: Ashley Kahn (2006) The House That Trane Built: The Story of Impulse Records, W.W. Norton, ISBN 0-393-05879-4 . A book which I have but haven't read yet.

It's a good read and beautifully illustrated.
