Dan Gould Posted June 18, 2021 Report Share Posted June 18, 2021 (edited) An under-appreciated gem of an episode (and one of the single greatest casting decisions of all time) was Bert Parks as Herb's dad. The look on Jennifer's face when she realizes the salesman at her desk is Herb's father was priceless and hysterical. Edit to add: and the Junior and Senior have a lovely scene at the end that touches on fathers and the sons who love them/need their respect. That's how I'll think of Frank Bonner. RIP. Not concerned with it, just curious, because WKRP still has a following, it's a recognizable quantity. "Kattobi Broadcasting Station"...something went wrong there, and it didn't involve dropping live turkeys out of a helicopter! Looking up "Katobi" alone gives no clear indicator as to meaning, but it does link to gaming, maybe? But nothing really specific. Point just being, apart from Herb RIP (and yes, sincerely), how is this one pooch-screwed headline getting out to American/Englsih "news" outlets? Is there no QC going on? Really? That's kinda scary.
