And I rarely if ever replace U.S. BN's with Japanese BN's of the same title, but did replace McMasters, Conns, and older Japanese imports with U.S. RVG's eventually in all cases.
Several Conns were re-issued as US RVG's including
Jimmy Smith - Softly as a Summer Breeze
Johnny Griffing - The Congregation
Wayne Shorter - The All Seeing Eye
Don Cherry - Symphony For Improvisers
Clifford Jordan & John Gilmore - Blowing In From Chicago
Kenny Dorham - Whistle Stop
Andrew Hill - Judgement
Both Baby Face Willette albums
Horace Silver - Further Explorations
Lee Morgan - Leeway
Grant Green - Green Street
A couple of Ike Quebec albums
Probably several others as well
With US RVG’s? (Or Japanese RVG’s?)
Asking, because — and I could easily be misremembering — but I thought(?) the Conns and US RVG’s were entirely exclusive of each other (meaning a Venn diagram of Conns, and RVG’s… would result in no overlap).
Were any Conns ever re-issued as US Conns?
