  1. Things have slowed considerably. I admit to being nervous about my future releases.
  2. So, in a few years folks like Parkertown will spend money on recreations of the internet. And Clifford Thornton will point out he got an original used copy for less money.
  3. Want to say I had a shotgun as a teen for hunting. Don't own a gun now. Don't contemplate owning a gun in the future - BUT - I can imagine a scene where Dick Cheney has a gun and I don't. My bad.
  4. Never missed the point. Should I give up because they have more?

    Hi

I think it's time Denis bought the friggin' beer.
  6. Really curious if all the members here are so confident in America that they want the government to control the weapons. Serious question.
  7. So long Bill. Thanks and keep the heads tight.
  8. and I heard he was lactose intolerant.
  9. Glad I didn't miss the chance to "be on time". Have a very happy birthday and a happier birth. You have no idea how much time I spent on this:

    Hi

Welcome. I only bit folks showing up to flog stuff before introducing themselves and participating in the "community". If I did otherwise, it was in error. Since I got a "bad guy" rep for doing this I stopped a long time ago but the perception continues. Post and prosper.
  11. Rob Mazurek's Exploding Star Orchestra Octet at the Green Mill tonight.
  12. There's a recommendation if I ever saw one. Every person mentioned so far is/was "nuts" and has/had a personal ax to grind. Salt for everybody!
  13. We talkin' 'bout the Irish/Mexican disc jockey with the Dutch heritage wife and the mongrel kids? If so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  14. This was "driven home" to me today. I was in the studio making new 24 bit transfers of Wadada Leo Smith's Procession of the Great Ancestry and the recording ends with MLK speaking............. Big silence when it finished.
  15. The Nessas were there too (3 of us) and really enjoyed the show. Looking forward to the new cd. Thanks Reptet. BTW, our daughter Carla was stunned to find Fred Anderson working the door. She said "I'd recognize him anywhere".
  16. All of the material on Arista/Freedom was licensed from Alan Bates, owner of Black Lion and Freedom (at the time). Complete Braxton was initially issued in a German pressing on the Freedom label. Braxton is also on one side of a Freedom lp by Richard Teitelbaum. That material is included on a Black Lion cd reissue of Silence.
  17. I really doubt any Freedom material will be included.
  18. Scared the crap out of me. I'm in Chicago and plan on calling him tomorrow.
  19. By the time this was issued in the US they stopped importing the nasty Pathe pressings and manufactured them at Wakefield, the outfit that I used when I had a choice.
  20. Thanks Al. Glad you like it.
  21. Black limo from Whitehall? Nah, one of these:
