  1. Isn't it harder for them to fumble if the ball is in the pouch?
  2. Can't imagine what Bill McCloskey woud make of the reading material listed.
  3. They are probably in private hands. Not sure if Roscoe still paints but he used to have one in process all the time. FWIW, the one I used was about 3 feet wide.
  4. Roscoe Mitchell. The color in that version is a bit washed out. I did a new version in the '70s and the colors are more vivid. Both covers will be reproduced when I reissue the disc later this year.
  5. I was actually looking to see if there would be an enlarged version of your avatar. I think it was when you had the Bowie 1&2 up.
  6. The tracks were probably omitted to keep the publishing royalties down. I know RCA/BMG had (at the time of the Ellington reissue you mention) an internal limit on the amount of music per disc. Universal probably had the same.
  7. Nothing beyond the pic of me in the "French Maid" outfit. I just threw up in my mouth a little. That just cost you $20.
  8. Never watch Charlie Rose. I'd rather listen to someone with some information about the topic at hand. He's the biggest fake on tv.
  9. Nothing beyond the pic of me in the "French Maid" outfit.
  10. Was playing solitare and my cursor hit "my profile" by accident. Since the 9th, I see I've been visited by BillF, Paul Secor, Sonnyhill, JohnL and The Danimal. What did you guys find?
  11. Kubelik is probably a "safe" deal but I have huge problems with No. 1. Way too speedy. Horenstein is a favorite (Vox/mono first, Unicorn/stereo next). Might come back and complain about others later but the first caught my attention.
  12. Same here--although it was in the early '70s. Damn kids.
  13. Same old, same old. No imagination at all.
  14. Pretty hard to come up with a "big box" of hard bop stuff not recently available now.
  15. Duke Ellington Fifteen Swing, January 10, 1957.
  16. Last time I was in the AA store (last fall - during the EdgeFest) the selection was pathetic.
  17. Played some Woody Shaw in honor of the BD tonight.
  18. Checks are always welcome. I suggest you wait 'til I say GO.
  19. It's a good way to meet Joe Morris.
