  1. Just for Chris, here's a photo of the robot lookin' real sexy:
  2. Sure--everyone needs to have FORTY-TWO guitars.
  3. The only reason the show was worth watching:
  4. Yeah, NOW he says he HOPES you like it, after setting the trap and pushing you in for the kill (with a little help from the rest of us).
  5. The workmanship is very nice, especially for only $250. The ends of the frets are indeed finished and beveled down. The one I got had a couple of little blemishes in one place on the neck binding (I have a photo of them if you're interested), but they're taking it back and sending me a new one (with their apologies for the problem). Other than that, the guitar feels very solid, and is finished beautifully. It compares very well with Ibanez Artcores and Epiphones that cost up to twice as much. You should head up to Union and check it out if you want to see it in person. But be aware that they told me they don't have many left and won't be getting more in until the summer. I asked because when I was there on Saturday trying basses, my buddy was whining 'bout the ends of the frets on them. I might swing by there later this week, even though the Epiphone is supposed to keep me from doing that. The basses are SX brand, aren't they? It could be that the Agile products are better made--they're obviously a bit more expensive. Maybe our resident AGILE DESIGNER would care to weigh in on this (I know Blake's lurking around here somewhere ).
  6. Told ya so.
  7. That is a nice lookin' guitar. How is the workmanship? Are the ends of the frets finished? The workmanship is very nice, especially for only $250. 8. That's supposed to make him feel BETTER?
  9. The last Alleycat!?!?!?! Forget the Alleycat. What you need is a COOL Cat--Grover tuners, a beautiful natural finish, a REAL jazz box, and great customer service--all for only $250 ('cause you aren't paying extra for the Gibson/Epiphone name and advertising ).
  10. Oh the Pain, the PAIN!
  11. I like this set a lot--now even more so knowing that it has the Nessa Seal of Approval.
  12. Too late . . . I just ordered every last one they had in stock.
  13. Joe, you gotta be more subtle. "Sure the disc is $15, shipping and handling is $285" 50 cents a day Joe, 50 cents a day! . . . or 3 measly gigs.
  14. For that much, I'd expect the band to gig in Philly. B-)
  15. Would it help if I bought an Organissimo CD?
  16. We're all around here somewhere. . . . wandering around in a fog of confusion.
  17. Did you receive your replacement Farlow set from Caiman?
  18. I just stopped into Elderly Instruments to see what Epiphones they had, and sure enough, there were two Alleycats, including the sunburst model - for $499 - SUCKERS! I took it into the amp room and checked it over (The lone metalhead left a minute after I started to play). Not a bad guitar at all. The neck is fatter than my Ibanez, but it still felt pretty good. It's definitely worth what MF is asking. Haven't decided if I'm going to go for it though. Yes you have.
  19. Not into a 345. What, or else you'd be snapping this bad boy up? Dude, are you somewhere in the 'hood here? You said something about driving an hour UP to Teaneck. Actually, I think it's closer to 45 min. I jump on the Turnpike and bam! I'm in Central Jersey about 30 from the Holland Tunnel. Close enough. You must be pretty near Big Bad Brad (or, as he's known to his closest friends, Bradford).

  22. You know, if you guys were REALLY into guitars, and not just a bunch of sorry-ass wannabes, you'd be going for THIS baby on the Lark Street site:
  23. Take a cold shower.
  24. Yeah--BUDGET killer.
