  1. Joe, you gotta be more subtle. "Sure the disc is $15, shipping and handling is $285" 50 cents a day Joe, 50 cents a day! . . . or 3 measly gigs.
  2. For that much, I'd expect the band to gig in Philly. B-)
  3. Would it help if I bought an Organissimo CD?
  4. We're all around here somewhere. . . . wandering around in a fog of confusion.
  5. Did you receive your replacement Farlow set from Caiman?
  6. I just stopped into Elderly Instruments to see what Epiphones they had, and sure enough, there were two Alleycats, including the sunburst model - for $499 - SUCKERS! I took it into the amp room and checked it over (The lone metalhead left a minute after I started to play). Not a bad guitar at all. The neck is fatter than my Ibanez, but it still felt pretty good. It's definitely worth what MF is asking. Haven't decided if I'm going to go for it though. Yes you have.
  7. Not into a 345. What, or else you'd be snapping this bad boy up? Dude, are you somewhere in the 'hood here? You said something about driving an hour UP to Teaneck. Actually, I think it's closer to 45 min. I jump on the Turnpike and bam! I'm in Central Jersey about 30 from the Holland Tunnel. Close enough. You must be pretty near Big Bad Brad (or, as he's known to his closest friends, Bradford).

  10. You know, if you guys were REALLY into guitars, and not just a bunch of sorry-ass wannabes, you'd be going for THIS baby on the Lark Street site:
  11. Take a cold shower.
  12. Yeah--BUDGET killer.
  13. Well, the last name does begin with a B.
  14. Man, I didn't know Van Halen covered "Fur Elise." Yeah, they were way ahead of Alicia Keys, man. Eddie Van Halen's idol:

  16. But all the "Smoke on the Water" you can dish out.
  17. Joe, You really should check out the Agiles at Rondo Music. I'm very impressed with the $250 Cool Cat I received yesterday, and the brand seems to get great reviews on, e.g., harmony-central.com. And according to Jeff Blake, they have a very liberal return policy.
  18. It's amazing they had enough hearing left to listen to ANYTHING.
  19. The problem is, to get a REALLY good guitar teacher, you have to travel to Michigan. [That's payback for all your sage advice ]
  20. If it makes you feel any better, from the looks of her patch, that woman is an FBI Agent: As in:
  21. Although . . . hmmmmm . . . I dunno . . . a nice big hollow body jazz box?
  22. That's how I've been learning to play. And people wonder why there aren't many vintage Gibson hollow bodies around anymore.
  23. You're giving all of us monitor envy.
  24. With rent control??? You'd be NUTS to move!
  25. You must be married. That's what I was going to say! I like the new Cool Cat avatar, Ron. I'm glad you're happy with your guitar. Marriage, and especially kids--surest way to kill your sex life.
